Long dedicated to meeting the needs of Westchester County’s Senior population, Andrus on Hudson is moving forward with a refined mission and renewed purpose.
In 2012 we completed necessary exterior repairs and renovations such as pointing the bricks, replacing the roof, repairing the rails and terraces, and installing new windows in the solarium. Inside our building we replaced the elevators and installed a video surveillance system which allows the residents and staff to use the newly monitored main stairwell. For our residents’ comfort and enjoyment we refurbished the auditorium, library and lounge area and upgraded our HVAC system. In compliance with federal regulations we began installing a sprinkler system in our entire building which will be completed by August, 2013.
Provided on our spectacular 26 acre campus, Andrus on Hudson offers a range of services with the same dedication and excellence individuals have come to expect from the Andrus family. Our Short-Term Rehabilitation section is being updated and now encompasses an entire floor just for short-term rehabilitation residents.
After the area lost power due to Hurricane Sandy we were happy to be able to provide shelter to 14 local residents ranging in age from 60 to 102 years. Our emergency generator allowed us to help our neighbors while keeping our own residents safe and comfortable.
Our senior care community provides abundant opportunities for socialization, including a bridge room, library, computer room, auditorium and a spacious lounge with fireplace. Gracious grounds with beautiful views of the Hudson surround our property, offering opportunities for private parties or family picnics. In fact, our auditorium and meeting rooms are available to outside groups for special events for a reasonable fee.
