Andrus Memorial, dba Andrus on Hudson is proud to announce that after a broad national search, James Rosenman has been selected to join the not-for-profit senior care community on January 21, 2019 in its newly created role of Chief Executive Officer. As part of a 60+ year commitment to meeting the needs of senior adults, Andrus on Hudson currently specializes in Rehabilitation & Post-Acute Care, Long Term Care, Memory Care, Hospice/Palliative Care & Respite Care and is poised for additional growth and diversification of services. The organization is proud to hold a 5 star rating from the Center of Medicare & Medicaid Services.  Betsy Biddle will continue in her role as Executive Director.

Originally from North Carolina, James Rosenman has served in various senior management positions within continuum of care organizations including skilled nursing facilities throughout the East Coast. Most recently, he served as CEO of Fairview, located in Groton, Connecticut, where he was responsible for the transformation of the organization into a continuing care provider including skilled nursing services, independent rental housing, ancillary service lines and the development of an independent active-adult entry-fee housing community.

A 2015 recipient of the “Forty Under 40” award, Mr. Rosenman received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee, an MBA from Pace University, Lubin School of Business, and is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. His extensive board experience includes serving as Board Chair of LeadingAge Connecticut and Board Treasurer of Always Home, Inc.

With depth in strategic planning and development experience, including concept creation, evaluation and project management for seniors’ housing developments, Mr. Rosenman is well situated to lead Andrus on Hudson into its next exciting chapter of providing an elevated range of services to the local community.

Andrus on Hudson is home to approximately 200 residents and employs a dedicated team of 275 staff members. Built by Helen Andrus Benedict as a memorial to her father, John Emory Andrus, a Yonkers businessman, mayor and representative to the United States Congress, the facility opened in 1953 as a retirement home for teachers, firemen, and other retired government workers. The organization has been governed by Andrus family members since that time. The current board is highly engaged and includes fourth and fifth generation Andrus family members as well as local community leaders, academics and health care practitioners.
