Andrus on Hudson hosts many arts events during the year. These events give the residents an opportunity to mingle and meet the artists, and also to show their art to other residents. Community Integration and trips are planned regularly. Andrus provides its own transportation for residents to get out in the community and attend art and theater events, as well as shopping trips and luncheons.

The Helen Andrus Benedict Foundation, an Andrus philanthropy dedicated to engaging seniors in the community, and creating aging friendly communities, is based at Andrus On Hudson. The Foundation promotes organizations that help seniors to remain independent for as long as possible, to remain active and to help them to give back to the community. Many events at Andrus on Hudson involve organizations that the Helen Andrus Benedict Foundation supports.
