Innovative Solutions for Today and Beyond

Our pursuit of excellence is powered by innovation. Every solution we devise is underscored by a forward-thinking strategy that seeks to anticipate the needs of tomorrow. We challenge the status quo, embrace new ideas, and constantly look for ways to improve, ensuring that our nursing home community benefits from care that is as proactive as it is compassionate.

Andrus on Hudson (AOH) focuses on using cutting-edge technology to develop and implement solutions and approaches for a broad array of organizational needs within operational, strategic, and mission-focused domains. AOH seeks out the best innovations to better serve those we care for and to minimize the impact on those providing the care. The use of technology at AOH is not simply for marketing purposes or for the simple novelty, but rather to fuel real changes within the organization that:

  •  Improve safety for employees and patients/residents

  •  Improve the workplace quality of life for employees

  •  Increase efficiency to allow employees to work to their full   potential and improve job satisfaction

  •  Provide more opportunities for social engagement and   communication among residents, families, and others

  •  Improve and optimize internal workflow processes

A.rtistic I.nspirations

AOH continues its innovation with the launch of its resident AI-generated art project. The project aims to showcase the creative talents of residents and patients through the use of artificial intelligence-focused engines to create unique digital artwork. The project fosters creativity, collaboration, and a love for the arts among AOH residents and patients.

The ability to tap into the imaginative minds and memories of individuals who may not have artistic capabilities or have physical/cognitive limitations has been truly amazing and inspiring. By incorporating AI technology into the art program, we can provide a unique platform for everyone to express themselves and showcase their work to the community.

LiteGait

LiteGait provides postural control and weight-bearing assistance for fall-free therapeutic activities.  It permits the therapist to be hands-free when working with patients of all functional levels and diagnoses, to focus on better quality and increased quantity of practice.

Telemedicine

Andrus has been using telemedicine for a few years now and it has significantly enhanced the quality and accessibility of healthcare for our residents. It allows for instant access to specialists and medical consultations without the need for physical transportation, which is particularly beneficial for older adults or immobile patients. Additionally, telemedicine can lead to more timely interventions, reducing the risk of complications and improving patient outcomes by allowing for immediate medical attention whether someone is here for short-term rehab, long-term care or memory care purposes.

Robotics for Safety

Just because something has been done a certain way for a long time doesn't necessarily mean it's "the right way" or "best way"! There are always more solutions - more tools we should explore to improve outcomes in any given area. We are actively exploring robotic exoskeletons for use by clinical and other staff to enhance safety through innovation.

The Magic Table

The Tovertafel is an award-winning system created for memory care. In Dutch, Tovertafel translates to ‘’Magic Table‘’. It works by projecting images onto flat surfaces in the form of interactive games, which stimulate movement and social interaction. Our residents are experiencing the magic and having so much fun.

"This tool has impacted so many of our residents especially in our memory care area, and to be able to witness the engagement and magic has been nothing short of amazing."  - AOH Employee
